Enhanced Coil and Airflow Design
h2x now performs more accurate coil and airflow calculations incorporating psychrometric processes including humidification and dehumidification. Designing accurate coils, airflows and ducts with ventilation systems have never been easier with h2x.
New capabilities available in your account:
- Calculate concept coil loads at the zone level and detailed coil loads with connected equipment
- Iterate on system designs and results quickly with new ventilation equipment capabilities
- View and filter coil and airflow calculation results at three peaks (terminal, coil, supply) and three conditions (actual, standard, mass) during design and export
- Revamped AHU properties panel, reorganised into Heating, Cooling, Specs and Connections tabs
- Export comprehensive and professional reports in PDF, Word Doc and Excel
Note that these are only available on the Heat Balance Method (Early Access). Go to

to turn on these capabilities. Once enabled, connect Zones to Ventilation Equipment (e.g. an AHU) and run calculations to see accurate coil loads, airflows and psychrometric results.Updated Heat Load Reports
Heat Load Reports have a refreshed look, brought in line with the new Heat Gain reports for a more consistent, professional handover document. The styling and layout have been updated and the report is easier to work with if you use DOCX exports, while the report content itself is largely unchanged. Legacy report exports are still available.
